Quicken and Quickbooks Troubleshooting

Learn how to connect or deactivate your Quicken and Quickbooks connection to your SouthState accounts.


Quicken for Windows

After Activation:
 
  1. Click Tools > Account List.
  2. Click Edit on the account you want to activate.
  3. In Account Details, click Online Services and then choose Set up Now.
  4. Type SouthState in the search field and click Next.
  5. Enter your SouthState Online Banking credentials.
  6. *If reconnecting access, ensure you associate the accounts to the appropriate accounts already listed in Quicken. Select Link to an existing account and select the matching accounts in the drop-down menu.
    Important: If reconnecting, do NOT choose “Create a new account” unless you intend to add a new account to Quicken. If you are presented with accounts you do not want to track in this data file, choose Ignore – Don’t Download into Quicken or click Cancel.
  7. After all accounts have been matched, click Next
  8. Click Done


Quicken for Mac

After Activation:
  1. Click the account name in the list displayed down the side of Quicken to open the register.
  2. Click the Settings gear in the lower right corner of the register view.
  3. Go to the Downloads tab.
  4. Click the Connect Account button.
  5. Type in the SouthState and walk through the wizard.
If reconnecting, choose LINK on the screen displayed after Quicken finds the available accounts at SouthState for your login credentials, and carefully link to your existing Quicken account(s).
 


Quickbooks Connect for Windows

Reconnect online banking connection for accounts that apply.
 
  1. Click Lists menu > Chart of Accounts.
  2. Right-click on an account you would like to activate
  3. Click Edit Account
  4. Click Set Up Bank Feeds on the bottom of the popup screen and click Yes in the dialog box that will appear.
  5. Enter SouthState in the search field
  6. Click Continue
  7. Enter your Online Banking Credentials
  8. Ensure you associate the accounts to the appropriate accounts already listed in QuickBooks.
  9. Link to your existing accounts in the drop-down options labeled Select Existing or Create New
    Important: Do NOT select “Create New Account” unless you intend to add a new account to QuickBooks. If you are presented with accounts you do not want to track in this data file, choose Do Not Add to QuickBooks.
  10. After all accounts have been matched, click Next and then click Done.
 


Quickbooks Connect for Mac

Reconnect online banking connection for accounts that apply.
  1. Click Banking > Online Banking Setup
  2. Type SouthState in the search field
  3. Click Next and follow the instructions in the setup screen
  4. Click Yes, my account has been activated for QuickBooks Online Services in the Online Banking Assistant window
  5. Click Next
  6. Enter your Online Banking Credentials
  7. For each account you wish to download into QuickBooks, click Select an Account to connect to your existing account’s registers
  8. Click Next
  9. Click Done
  10. Repeat this step for each account that you have connected to this institution.
 


Deactivate Quicken for Windows

Deactivate online banking connection for accounts connected SouthState.
  1. Click Tools > Account List
  2. Click Edit on the account to deactivate
  3. In Account Details, click Online Services
  4. Click Deactivate
  5. Follow prompts to confirm deactivation
  6. Click the General tab
  7. Delete Financial Institution and Account Number information
  8. Click OK to close window.
  9. Repeat steps for all additional accounts from SouthState.
 


Deactivate Quicken for Mac

  1. Click on the account name in the bar down the side of Quicken Mac
  2. Click the Settings gear icon in the bottom-right corner
  3. Click the Downloads tab
  4. Click the Disconnect Account button
  5. Repeat for all accounts from Southstate.
  6. Click Done
 


Deactivate Quickbooks for Windows

Deactivate online banking connection for accounts connected to Southstate
 
  1. Click Lists menu > Chart of Accounts
  2. Right-click on the first account you would like to deactivate
  3. Click Edit Account
  4. Click the Bank Feeds Settings tab in the Edit Account window.
  5. Select Deactivate All Online Services
  6. Click Save & Close
  7. Click OK for any alerts or messages that may appear with the deactivation.
  8. Repeat steps for any additional accounts that apply. (REQUIRED)
  9. Click Update
 


Deactivate Quickbooks for Mac

Deactivate online banking connection for accounts connected to Southstate.

On or After the 2nd Action Date:
 
  1. Click Lists > Chart of Accounts
  2. Click the first account you would like to deactivate
  3. Click Edit > Edit Account
  4. Click Online Settings in the Edit Account window.
  5. In the Online Account Information window, click Not Enabled from the Download Transactions list
  6. Click Save
  7. Click OK for any alerts or messages that may appear with the deactivation.
  8. Repeat steps for any additional accounts that apply. (Required)
